My teaching journey began in 2018 with a simple goal: I wanted to experience what it would be like to teach children. At the time, I wasn’t a certified teacher yet, but I was very eager to learn. I started by teaching English online to students in China from my home in Florida. In just a short time, I became a highly requested teacher, fully booked seven days a week.
In China, students refer to their instructors as “Teacher” followed by their name. That’s how the name “Teacher Maddie” came to be!

I also bring over 30 years of experience from the corporate world, which allows me to offer more than just academic lessons. I help adults build confidence in using everyday computer applications and improve their digital literacy. I love technology and teaching others how to shine in front of their boss and peers. Madeline is always very professional but makes me feel at ease.

Never dreamed this kind of help was out there (and that I would find it!)
Madeline helped me edit a Word document over the weekend. I was given a great Word document by another professional to use as a template. I didn't understand the many features inside of Word - and was also unable to integrate Microsoft Excel with Word. Maddie knew exactly how to accomplish everything I needed to accomplish. She was extremely thorough and even created videos for me to save - so I could refer back to her instructions for certain tax. It gives me such confidence to accept new challenges at work - knowing I have someone like Maddie to guide me through the tricky parts.

We recently started ESL lessons with Madeline for our nephew who is here as a refugee from Ukraine. We are thrilled with the lessons. Madeline is an excellent teacher and knows how to communicate with children and engage with them. I had never used Wyzant before so I was a little hesitant but so glad I decided to give it a try. My nephew is already benefitting immensely from the lessons with Madeline.
